Fortunately, nothing as exciting as the arrival of an ambulance and fire truck to wake a sleeping baby happened this week. Unfotunately, that means that those of you who wait with breathless anticipation for our next blog entry have been a bit underwhelmed by our recent output. So, to bring you up to speed with all the groundbreaking news: Morgen is bigger than ever (look out, Olympic gymnasts, she's catching up fast), the parents are tired as ever, and (drumroll please) Jessica has a new hairdo for the first time in ...
In other news, Morgen is beginning to develop her own musical tastes. She really likes '50s rock 'n roll (I sang Johnny B. Goode to her a capella, which she thought was hilarious), and she also seems partial to John Denver songs. In this particular photo, she is listening raptly to my somewhat-less-than-brilliant version of "Rocky Mountain High".

Tres chic madame! I got a haircut too (which is why you'll see no pics of me lately anywhere). You know its a bad haircut when your hubby says: "Well, you can always go back to that other guy and he could fix it" followed by, "Well, it's not that bad. You could probably do something with it." Followed by "Its not like its the best cut ever, but it's not horrible." followed by: absolute silence. Sigh ...
What good taste in music Morgen has. I bet she would like Neil Diamond even more.
Cute new hair do Jess. Hopefully it wasn't traumatic too get it cut.

Thanks everyone. This is not the most flattering picture of the haircut, or the most flattering haircut either, but at least it's too short for Morgen to eat! I'm going to donate my shorn ponytail to a charity for cancer patients...just have to pick one.

Horray for haircuts!!! You have just inspired me to get my last haircut finally fixed (you know, the one where I, in a rage of fury/identity crises/desperate need for change, cut of my own hair and then had Jeff do some touch ups!). Keep the pictures and the posts coming!
