Florida had one less resident this weekend, as Uncle Matt forsook his sun-drenched new home in Juno Beach, FL for the chance to meet his niece for the first time - and, as what must have been something of an afterthought, to see his brother and sister-in-law. Matt and Morgen had an instant rapport and bonded over their mutual fascination with fuzzy red blocks.
Then we took Matt and Morgen on a little tour of our local park - I'm not sure if either one was particularly impressed by this. We also ventured down to Little Italy and Kensington Market for some authentic Mexican food. All in all, I think Matt discovered just how domestic our life has become, considering that we thought the Little Italy trip was pretty daring.

Yeay Matt! I have not seen him in years! Morgen looks so cute in her hat ...and I totally love that stroller (I'm not sure I ever thought they would be exciting to me).
Wow, Morgen is sitting up in her stroller! Grandma is loving it.
Hopefully this was a good experience for all. We want the Matty boy to be thinking this family thing is the way to go.
How may hats does Morgen have? They are all sooo cute (the pumpkin one last week, a bright pink one with a wide brim and now the cute knit one, did Grandma make it?).
And I concur that Morgen looks quite grown up sitting in her stroller.
MN Grandma
Morgen has four sunhats, three handknit hats (one pinkish from Gramma and one white one from Great Gramma, and the pumpkin from Jennie), and an uncountable pile of touques that go with sleepers. She's a lucky little girl, especially since she's mostly bald these days. The one in this picture has ear flaps, but we tucked them up and under because the hat kept getting twisted and the flaps kept covering up her eyes - she kept squirming and turning her head which was causing the problem...
Oh, wait, there are actually four handknit hats - a stripey one from Angela! Can't leave that one out...even if Morgen has to grow a bit before she can wear it! :)
