Spa time for Preggers

Today I made use of the birthday present Gavin gave to me this year: a massage at the Old Mill Spa. I went there by transit, thinking "it can't be far from Old Mill subway station, right?" Well, mostly. I took an innocent-looking little cobble-stone path from the subway towards the large building I assumed (correctly) was the Mill, and when I got there, I opened a large set of double doors and entered the sprawling complex. I then went around several corners, past convention rooms full of business association types, and finally came across a woman sitting before a Mac. No sign of the spa to my right, left, or in front of me, just this woman. I asked her "Do you happen to know where the Spa is?" and she said - "yup, there's a sign on the wall right behind you." (Spa this way ->)
Mac users think they're so smart.
The massage was lovely, when I finally got to it. It's a very frou-frou spa - and the pampering helped me forget my momentary panic when I thought I might be lost in the basement of the Mill...

I am envious. I always wanted to go to the Old Mill Spa for something - anything. Apparently they also do the most amazing (and surprisingly inexpensive) Thanksgiving brunches. Maybe in another liftime!

What they might not know is that I am aware of the irony.
