Our formidable pet Grendel has been strangely silent lately. Skulking, sulking around, tentatively checking out the being we know he thinks of as "the Usurper". He seems especially upset that Gramma Lovett doesn't seem to want to play with him any more...cheer up Grendel. It's just one step down in the pecking order. One, teeny tiny little step.

Congratulations. Morgen looks fantastically cute (of course, I wasn't expecting anything less) and very charming. Her dark hair is great! I hope that both of you are doing well and getting used to being her parents.
Poor, poor Grendel. He looks like he is wasting away to nothing since he probably hasn't been able to even eat with all the commotion going on. Poor thing, animal cruelty, NOT. He just needs to get a life (do cats have a life?).
Just wait until she starts crawling around chasing the kitty. Then he'll not want the attention.

Poor Grendel. Cats never take having to share attention well. And he will like it even less when Morgen is old enough to chase him around and pull his tail. But I think it will be good for Grendel to have a more balanced (humble) ego.
